## Buying and running it

- Buy online without sales: no
- Minimum seats: not stated by the vendor (SentinelOne states no purchase minimum. Its pricing page shows the Control list price "for 5-100 workstations" and every sale goes through a partner, which sets the terms.)
- Needs in-house security staff: no
- Setup time estimate: about 2 hours

## Who it suits

- small no it: Singularity Control is SentinelOne's cheaper package: $79.99 per endpoint per year on the vendor's list, for 5 to 100 workstations, bought through a partner. It stops and rolls back ransomware without anyone watching, and adds USB, Bluetooth and firewall control. It lacks the XDR layer and data retention that Complete includes, so there is little to investigate after an incident, and SentinelOne offers no managed SOC for it.
- msp managed: Singularity Control is a channel product: SentinelOne shows a $79.99 list price but every sale goes through a partner, which suits an MSP that sets its own margins. ConnectWise sells it in its security suite. Management features match Complete: a multi-tenant console, a Splunk connector and NinjaOne support. SentinelOne's package table offers no managed SOC for Control.
- regulated: On paper, Singularity Control passes most audits: it inherits SentinelOne's platform-wide FedRAMP High authorisation, HIPAA BAA, PCI DSS support and CMMC 2.0 relevance. The weak spots are commercial and evidential. Contracts renew automatically, and at 120% of the prior fee unless the customer gives 30 days' notice or issues a new purchase order; the latest MITRE result is from 2024.

## Not for, or worth knowing

- Businesses wanting self-serve checkout: Singularity Control is sold only through authorised partners, and the partner's price overrides the $79.99 list price. (source: https://www.sentinelone.com/platform-packages/, verified 2026-10-02)
- Bought only through an authorised partner. SentinelOne shows a $79.99 per endpoint per year list price for 5-100 workstations, but says the partner's price is final. (source: https://www.sentinelone.com/platform-packages/, verified 2026-10-02)
- No independent AV-Test or AV-Comparatives business results since 2017; relies on MITRE ATT&CK evaluations for third-party validation. (source: https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/business-windows-client/manufacturer/sentinelone/, verified 2026-10-02)
- No XDR and no data retention: SentinelOne's package table marks Extended Detection and Response and Data Retention as not included in Control (Complete adds both, with 14-day retention). (source: https://www.sentinelone.com/platform-packages/, verified 2026-09-30)
- Did not participate in MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations 2025 (ER7), citing a decision to prioritise product and engineering resources on customer-focused initiatives. (source: https://www.sentinelone.com/blog/sentinelone-and-the-mitre-attck-evaluations-enterprise-2025/, verified 2026-10-02)
