## Buying and running it

- Buy online without sales: no
- Minimum seats: 50 (min_seats is Huntress's standard direct purchase minimum: 50 per product, direct or through a reseller. Through an MSP, Huntress sets no seat minimum ("When purchasing through an MSP there are no Huntress-required minimum seat counts"), so a small office can get Huntress from an MSP at whatever quantity and price the MSP sets. No self-serve checkout; the free trial (14 days for EDR, no credit card) is self-serve.)
- Needs in-house security staff: no
- Setup time estimate: about 1 hours

## Who it suits

- small no it: Huntress is the right answer for a small office only if it arrives through an MSP. Bought that way there is no Huntress seat minimum, and Huntress's own SOC watches around the clock; Huntress publishes an 8-minute mean time to respond (MTTR). Bought direct or through a reseller, the 50-endpoint minimum rules most small offices out, and there is no independent lab result to check the product against.
- msp managed: Huntress is built for MSPs, and it shows. Integrations cover ConnectWise Manage and Automate, Autotask, HaloPSA, Kaseya, Syncro, NinjaOne, N-able and Datto RMM, and there is no Huntress seat minimum when an MSP buys it for you. Plan to pair it with other tools for patching, device control and rollback, none of which Huntress offers.
- regulated: Huntress will not sign a HIPAA BAA, on the grounds that its agent collects file metadata rather than health data, so a covered entity has to accept that position with its own counsel. Defence contractors fare better: Huntress publishes CMMC documentation and positions itself as a Security Protection Asset, which keeps it outside FedRAMP scope.

## Not for, or worth knowing

- Solo buyers under 50 endpoints purchasing direct or through a reseller: Huntress requires a 50-endpoint minimum commitment for Managed EDR outside the MSP channel. (source: https://www.huntress.com/pricing/edr, verified 2026-10-02)
- Healthcare organisations that need a signed HIPAA Business Associate Agreement: Huntress does not provide BAAs, since its agent does not access, use, or disclose health information. (source: https://support.huntress.io/hc/en-us/articles/4404004949523-Huntress-and-HIPAA-Compliance, verified 2026-10-02)
- No independent AV-Test, AV-Comparatives, or MITRE ATT&CK evaluation results available. (source: https://www.huntress.com/, verified 2026-10-02)
- No ransomware rollback or device control; relies on managed response instead of automated remediation. (source: https://www.huntress.com/pricing, verified 2026-10-02)
- No mobile endpoint support (iOS/Android). (source: https://www.huntress.com/pricing, verified 2026-10-02)
