## Who it suits

- small no it: Bitdefender Business Security Premium suits a small office that wants stronger prevention than Bitdefender's entry tier without anyone reading alerts. It adds cloud sandboxing, attack forensics and ransomware rollback, sells online from five devices with a one-month free trial, and its 99.8% protection rate in AV-Comparatives' first-half 2026 test is the joint highest in this index. It is not EDR; Bitdefender keeps detection and response for its Enterprise tier.
- msp managed: Premium gives an MSP a prevention tier with a multi-tenant console that plugs into ConnectWise, Datto RMM, Kaseya VSA and HaloPSA, and events can go to seven named SIEMs including Sentinel, Splunk and QRadar. It has no threat hunting or cross-endpoint investigation, so an MSP that runs its own SOC should price Business Security Enterprise instead. Per-seat cost falls as client counts grow; budget separately for patching, which Bitdefender charges for as an add-on.
- regulated: Bitdefender publishes SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and a HIPAA compliance assessment, but it does not say it signs a BAA; its HIPAA page says it never handles ePHI and sends BAA questions to the account manager, so get the BAA position in writing. Premium has no EDR, so if an auditor will ask how you investigate incidents across devices, look at Business Security Enterprise or an EDR product. We hold no published PCI DSS or CMMC position for this product, so card-handling and defence buyers should get those answers in writing too.

- No EDR. Bitdefender pitches Premium at companies that want attack prevention "without additional detection and response capabilities".
