## Who it suits

- small no it: Buy Acronis Cyber Protect if losing files worries you more than a quiet break-in. Backup and antimalware share one agent that you can buy online and trial for 30 days, and full marks in AV-Test's June 2026 round back up the malware side. The catch is the missing EDR: if an intruder gets past the scanner, nobody will see what they did next.
- msp managed: Acronis suits an MSP that already sells backup and wants protection on the same agent and console. Multi-tenant management is included, and the RMM and PSA list covers ConnectWise, Datto, NinjaOne, Kaseya VSA and HaloPSA. Sending alerts to Splunk or Sentinel costs extra, and with no EDR a SOC analyst has little telemetry to work from.
- regulated: Healthcare practices can get a HIPAA BAA from Acronis, but only on Cyber Protect Advanced with Acronis Cloud Storage in a US data centre, requested through an account manager after purchase. The Standard edition priced in this report does not qualify. PCI DSS support is listed; FedRAMP is not.
